The Golden Ticket

This is my online blog of my struggles and work to create The Golden Ticket Company Ltd which is a business designed to give people more money!

The basic idea came to me just before Christmas, sitting in Gatwick airport, waiting with my family to fly out for our Christmas holiday. Before you start thinking "Christmas Holiday, I can't afford one of those!" let me explain that we didn't have a summer holiday last year and we prefer to get away from the cold and crazy shops around Christmas.

So, I'm sitting at Gatwick and the idea hits me. Not all at once but the main idea certainly. Unfortuantly I had promised my wife that I wouldn't think / write or plan anything to do with any business on the holiday, so the next 2 weeks were spent with me trying not to break that promise while keeping the seed alive!

Needless to say, once we got home I was working like a maniac, exploring options and angles, working out the finances and the legalities. After 2 weeks or so the golden ticket was born, all be it in a very undeveloped stage.....but the basics were set.

Let me ask you, dear reader, what is it that we all want in life, beyond happiness and peace etc... money of course! Maybe just enough money to free us from the rat race, or enough to have a nice holiday, pay off the mortgage, or buy a new car that doesn't break down.

Freedom to live your life as you want, not as the bank or society has forced you to live, isn't that the real reason we dream of winning the lottery or inheriting a large sum of money from some unknown relative? We may dream of millions but many people admit that just paying the mortgage off, or having a little lump sum would be enough.

But the odds of either happening are incredibly small; I've searched for long-lost relatives who may have Australian gold-mines, reclusive great aunts with millions under the bed and alas no joy! I've also tried the lottery, and I'm one of those people, who while being well aware of the odds is constantly suprised when I don't win the jackpot!!!!

So why do I still play.....because if I don't then I have no chance at all and some chance is better than none! Even though I know the chance of winning are millions to one, even if I only want an average £100,000 for 5 balls and the bonus ball the odds are still over 2 million to one..... and yet there are no other options.

So that's what I decided to do, make a competition where the odds of winning are greatly increased, thereby giving people a much more realistic chance of winning.

And thus The Golden Ticket was born!
